End of site Outbreak - Perth Primary
Dear Parents/Carers,
Recently we advised that there had been a COVID-19 group/school outbreak at Perth Primary School.
Public Health have advised that the outbreak has ended. If you have been testing as a school contact for this outbreak you can now stop.
The school will continue to monitor COVID-19 cases and advise if any further actions are required.
You should continue to monitor your child’s health and if they develop any symptoms, stay away from school and do a rapid antigen test (RAT).
If the RAT returns a positive result please:
- stay at home and follow the instructions on the Tasmanian Government Coronavirus website
- register the RAT result with Public Health using their online declaration form or phone the Public Health Hotline 1800 671 738
- let the school know for attendance records and learning support.
If you are not immunocompromised and have recovered from COVID-19, you are considered to have a natural immunity in the first 12 weeks after recovering from COVID-19. This means you do not need to test or isolate if you become a close contact for 12 weeks after your release from isolation. But if you have symptoms, stay home.
If you have any questions or concerns, please phone the Department of Education’s COVID-19 Outbreak Support Team on 0429 726 935 or email covidoutbreaksupport@education.tas.gov.au. Additional COVID-19 information can be found on the Tasmanian Government Coronavirus websit
If you need support translating or interpreting this information, contact the Translating and Interpreting Service on 131 450. You can also find lots of key information on the Department of Education’s website, using the translate tool.
Yours Sincerely,
Abbi Dean
